The overall design of new Redmi Y2 seems to be borrowed from their other handset “Redmi note 5 Pro”.The Position of the vertically assigned dual camera, fingerprint sensor and Mi logo at the bottom. While the back of the Y2 looks like metal finish but it is not, made up of polycarbonate which has been given the metal finish. RealMe 1 runs on Android 8.1 oreo but with the custom skin of oppo’s ColorOS 5.0, which might not be attractive than MIUI. Even though the Redmi Y2 also runs on Android 8.1 oreo but with the different story(custom skin) MIUI 9.5, while latter comes with preloaded Android 7.1.2 out of the box.
The Redmi Y2 fueled with the smallest battery of 3,00mAh while comparing it with the RealMe 1 has 3140 mAh battery. Both have the option of expandable storage up to 256GB with the dedicated MicroSD card slot. In term of security option, the RealMe 1 is provided with no fingerprint sensor in it where else Redmi Y2 has fingerprint sensor at the back.

It has a primary sensor of 12-megapixel and supported with the 5-Megapixel sensor for phase-detection and further with dual-tone LED flash. The Front is also packed with the high-resolution 16-megapixel sensor supported with LED Flash and AI beautify 4.0, which is retuned for Indian customers. both the front and rear sensors support AI portrait mode and enhanced bokeh effects. As Redmi Y2 is available in two variant option, the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model has been listed for Rs. 9,999 where 4GB and 64GB storage has been tagged for Rs.12,999. Coming to the Real Me1, it is offered in three variant as 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant for Rs. 8,990 price label and goes up to Rs. 10,990 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version, while the top-model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is available at Rs. 13,990 for price label.
