Finally, Xiaomi has added a new addition to their budget portfolio, Redmi 6 Pro has been launched in China alongside Mi Pad 4. Both the products had been teased out already last week by the company through the pic. The Xiaomi’s Redmi 6 Proo is the first smartphone in the Redmi series to have Notch display but all thanks it can be hidden into black bars at the top.
Identically, the overall design of New Redmi 6 Pro is similar to its predecessor Redmi 5 Pro, excluding the iPhone-X style notch over top. The Redmi 6 Pro is packed with the 5.84-inch display, dual camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SOC, dedicated Slot as well as features like AI face Unlock, beautification mode, and a voice assistant.
Redmi 6 Pro: Specification
Coming to xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro detail specification, It has a 5.84-inch display with Full HD+ resolution at 1080×2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is first time from Xiaomi to have a display with 84-per cent NTSC colour gamut in the budget segment.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is powered by 2Ghz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor (which is the same processor that powers the Redmi Note 4) with Adreno 506 GPU, can handle decent high-resolution games efficiently. The phone is packed with two RAM variant 3GB and 4GB, and 32GB/64GB internal Storage option. Therefore, Company offer the smartphone in three variant option- the base variant has 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM option with 32GB internal storage where else the top end variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. All variants come with the option of expandable storage up to 256GB via SD Card.
Coming to software part, Redmi 6 Pro runs on Android 8.1 oreo out of the box with the customisation top of Xiaomi MIUI 9.0. Now, on the imaging portion, The company has packed the phone with dual sensor setup at the back- 12megapixel primary camera which features 1.25-micron pixels, a f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, LED flash and 5megapixel of a supportive sensor. Although the rear camera features are similar and taken from Redmi Y2 which include phase detection autofocus, auto HDR and artificial intelligence-based portrait and bokeh mode.
The Front Camera is equipped with 5 Megapixel sensor and also auto HDR and AI-based protrait mode with face unlocking biometric tool feature.
The Redmi 6 Pro is fueled by 4,000mAh battery and fast charging support at 5V/2A supply. It also has IR sensor which works well remotely across 14 types of appliances over 2000 variety.
Redmi 6 Pro: Price
As per official listing, The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will cost CNY 999(roughly Rs. 10,422) for 3GB and 32GB storage variant, the 4GB and 32GB variant will cost for CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,500). The top-end variant which is 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will cost CNY 1,299(roughly Rs.13,600). The handset will be offered in five colour options – Black, Blue, Gold, Pink and Red. And will be available for sale starting from June 26 in China.
The most important thing, The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is expected to launch soon India too as per some latest leaks, but there is no official word on when that would be.
