After the success of previous variants in the budget segment, Samsung has now unveiled the next version of the On-Series, the galaxy on6. The Samsung galaxy on6 is specially designed in considering the young generation, who are really on the go. Moreover, its sleek design makes it handy. The company has launched it in competition to Xiaomi Note 5 Pro and Motorola G6.
Galaxy On6: Price and Availability
Samsung has priced it at Rs. 14,490 and will be available only through E-commerce channel Flipkart. At first phase, it will be available only in Blue and Black colour options only. From the launch, Samsung is offering various discount options, no cost EMI starting from Rs.1,610 per month and exchange offer up to Rs.12,200 on the old phone. Apart from that Flipkart customers will receive the Rs.1000 of discount and additionally 5 per cent discount with online payment. It comes with one year warranty on the handset and six months warranty on accessories.
Galaxy On6: Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy On6 comes with 5.6’inch Super AMOLED infinity display. The comes with thin bezels on the sides with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and resolution of 1480 x 720 pixels. The display of the smartphone is protected by scratch resistant with Corning glass 5.
Under the hood, Galaxy On6 is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor and 4GB of RAM. The phone is packed with 32GB of internal memory and option of expanding memory up to 256GB via Sd Card. It runs on Samsung Experience 9.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo and fueled by 3,000 mAh battery.
Coming to the optics department, the Galaxy On6 has a 16megapixel main camera with LED Flash and Beauty, Animated GIF, Action, Panorama, Food, as well as HDR modes. Where Else the front camera is equipped with 8megapixel and LED Flash. Both the camera front and rear are paired with a f/1.9 aperture. The front camera is equipped with Face to unlock feature.
The smartphone is dual sim along 4G VoLTE and other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy On6 has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The overall design is quite identical to Galaxy J6 and J8(2018).
Galaxy On6: Add-on Features
The Samsung has seems like focusing on more better user experience either in terms of software or messaging apps. Therefore, the company has rolled out a new feature ‘Chat over Video’ which lets the users chat with their contacts while watching the video with clear chat screen UI. It also comes with preloaded My Galaxy Video App which let the users modify or select the video content as per the requirement, by a content provider. The apps give full access to selective playlist, shows, full Bollywood movies and much more. It also comes with Samsung own payment module PAY MINI, to make payment conveniently through a smartphone.
