Finally, the Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has proven it and launched the full-screen smartphone Vivo Nex. Yes, the Vivo already made the market crazy from the MMWC 2018 in earlier this February by showing the concept design named Vivo Apex. Vivo has opened the door for next- third generation technology phones on, so other companies can get rid of disagreeable notch trend.
Moreover, the Vivo Nex is same as it concept model Vivo apex(display in MWWC 2018) which is no alike the Lenovo Z5 what we got rumoured from the company. The Vivo Nex ha all screen design no-notch/no bezel display, no speaker(piezoelectric speaker) and pop-up camera for selfies. Thus we can say right, it is like no other phone in the market in any segment.
Full-Screen Display (No-Notch)
The Vivo Nex Comes with the Full-screen display which sports 6.59 inch super AMOLED display with the HD+ resolution of 1080 pixels by 2316 pixels. All thanks to the company for trenching the notch and developing the piece which can easily stand out from the crowd. Therefore, it’s the first phone to equipped 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. Hence, the design keeps it bezel-free and small size a chin at the bottom.
Pop-Up Selfie Camera
The company has stepped in the clean move while avoiding the Notch display, they have created the popping out selfie camera from the top side. It has an 8-megapixel sensor which pops out from the top by pressing a button(for taking selfies with it) and can hide back when your work is done. As specified by the Vivo, NEX uses a micro-drive system besides the independent drive ICs to raise the camera module promptly and accurately.
The Vivo Nex has no front speaker. The Vivo used the “Screen sound casting technology” which turns the screen into the speaker. This sort of technology was already seen in previously Xiaomi Mi Mix, but later the company kick this technology for Mi Mix 2. There is a piezoelectric speaker which offer potent sound and voice to transmit your conversation to everyone around you.
Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor
We know that this technology is not new, it is already introduced in the X21 firstly. But the company is claiming that hardware is installed is now new and is of third-generation in display fingerprint scanner. It will give the 50 per cent more accuracy in recognition and 10 per cent speedily unlocking the device. Moreover, the Vivo also mention that it has a broader area for detecting and recognising the fingerprint identities. As we also seen the earlier version of this technology in Vivo X21 faces lots of trouble in unlocking the phone.
What’s Extra Fron Vivo Nex?
The Phone gets regular camera setup at the rear with dual 12Megapixel and 5megapixel sensors. And good for low light photography. Vivo Nex uses similar AI feature like other Vivo phones to identify scenes and adjust automatically settings for a perfect click. The company also specified the Jovi Voice Assitant, the specific china users can be able to use this feature. It will work in the same manner as Google Assitant- able to launch the apps and detect the objects like Google lens.
Other features include the dual sim support, 256Gb of internal memory, 2.2GHz octa-core QS 845 processor and 4,000mAh battery.
Apparently, The models launched in China and availability yet hasn’t confirmed. In initial stage is likely to roll out in Asian countries (not including India).
