Blackberry Launched New Flagship Smartphones Evolve and Evolve X with Wireless Charging Starts for Rs 24,990

Optiemus Infracom owned brand blackberry, has finally launched two new flagship smartphones in India under mid-range and premium mid-range segment with named- Evolve and Evolve X, in the event held at New Delhi. The company claimed that both the phones are designed and made in India as per thinking of the Indian customers first. Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X are made up of 7000 series aluminium frame which comes along Corning Gorilla 5 and their rubberised trademarked back panel. The Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X are set to give competition Oneplus 6, Vivo Nex, Huawei Honor Nova series.

Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X: Price and Availability

Blackberry is primarily known for the high price segment but for the first time, the company has evaluated the market along considering the Indian buyers. Both the handsets are perfectly tagged as per there specification featured in them. The Blackberry Evolve is tipped at the price for Rs 24,990 only and Evolve X for Rs 34,990 in India.

After mentioning the price tags but blackberry didn’t confirm any particular dates for availability of these handsets, only hinted Evolve will be available at the end of the August-end and  Evolve X from the September-mid. However, both the handsets will be available to purchase through online Amazon and offline retail outlets.

Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X: Specifications and Features 

The Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X featured with 5.99 inches full HD+ display with the resolution of 1080×2160 pixels and aspect ratio of 18:9. Apart from this, both the handsets have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection and oleophobic coating to get prevented from any fingerprints and smudges over it.

However, the Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X carry similar designed and built quality. The only one thing makes both distinguishable from each other, Evolve X comes with wireless charging support. Besides, this blackberry unveiled the first 7.5 watts fast charging wireless charger. Both the phones are fueled by 4,000 mAh battery, respectively. The Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X smartphones also featured with “Blackberry Power Center App” that uses Artifical Learning to analyse the user usage and optimizing the battery.

Furthermore, the blackberry evolve powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor along with Adreno 506 GPU where else the evolve x comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU. Under the hood, both carry same onboard storage which is 64GB but differs in the RAM options-the blackberry Evolve comes with 4GB RAM and Evolve X with 6GB of RAM. Although, the option of expanding memory comes with Evolve X up to 2TB via Sd Card. Both the phones run on the Android 8.0 oreo.

The Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X give the users to amend the RAM allocation as per their requirements. So the overall performance of the handsets can be enhanced.

Coming to the optics, the Blackberry Evolve X has the dual camera set up at the rear with 12-megapixel primary lens(f/1.8 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels) and supportive lens of 13-megapixel(f/2.6 aperture and 1.0-micron pixels) with Dual Led Flash. WHereas the blackberry Evolve has also dual camera setup at the rear, a 13-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture, RGB+Mono mode, and dual tone LED flash. Apart from these specs, both the phone includes various similar modes like refocus mode, 4X autofocus, and slow-motion video options.

If we talk about the front camera, the blackberry evolve and evolve x has a same 16-megapixel camera fixed focused sensor with f/2.0 aperture and Led Flash. The add-on features sports 78-degree FoV, Tetra Pixel technology, and real-time bokeh mode. The Evolve X supports only wireless charging which comes with wireless charger, as already above mentioned.

The Blackberry has also redesigned the Blackberry Hub, in which they have integrated the all social communication accounts such as Facebook, Twitter etc. in one app. The BlackBerry Privacy Shade feature helps reduce visible screen size to the area which users are accessing.

In terms of security concern, blackberry has claimed that their face unlocks capabilities unlocked the handsets within 0.3seconds. Both the handsets has also rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, FM radio, USB Type-C with OTG, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

In the end, Blackberry has promised to give security updates every month for one year.
